Up for auction is an original 1942 Matchbook Cover – War- WWII – Walt Disney – Pepsi:Cola.  This piece comes from a collection of 48.
Per Bob Stoddard’s 2002 book entitled “The Encyclopedia of Pepsi Collectibles”…”Disney and Pepsi Cola are two of the most collectible trademarks in existence.  Combine them and you usually end up with something very special.  That’s what happened in 1942 when Pepsi and Disney got together to produce matchbooks with military insignias on them.  There were 48 different insignias in the complete set.  Each matchbook is numbered.”.
This auction is for matchbook number 40 – 46t Bombardment Group [L].  Cover only.  Striker is present.  No matches.  See pics for condition.
I am selling my entire Pepsi collection, with about 100 more items to list…. radios, 3D cardboard girls, syrup tins, vintage clocks, trolley signs, paper cups, etc, so please be on the lookout for more great items in the next month++.  All items have been preciously stored away for the last (up to) 16 years and it’s time to pass them on to someone who can continue the Pepsi love!
